Colors are the pure expression of freedom. If we are attracted by a color we are supposed to wear it, for it may simply reflect our mood or maybe because we need its energy.
There is an ancient intelligence in natural colors.

Historically colors were used for two main reasons: status and healing properties.

The whealty used to dress up with expensive and luxurious clothes dyed with vivid and intense colors (such as purple, black, blue and green) for the status they conveyed.

As a logical extention of herbal medicine, folk included plant healing properties through dyeing everyday garments with indigenous and officinal species. When the effect faded away the item was over-dyed.
