Here is the first exploratory drawing. I look at reference but I try not to draw with intention at my first pass. My 2nd pass is a little controlled, but as you can see I moved the character to the right side. Once I felt that things were in the place I wanted, I went to my final drawingThen I don't worry as I paint that the image will turn out the way I want.
