Ocean sunset

Ocean sunset

I created a picture of the ocean at sunset. I wanted to play with the lovely colours of the sunset because of how beautiful they are. I love painting the ocean as well. This piece made me feel calm.

I used acrylics and acrylic paper.

I put tape across the painting to get the horizon. I used four colours for the sky and blended them until they were smooth. Then I added the sun. I removed the tape and painted the pale ocean. When that was dry, I added the darker waves.
