Santiago Arau (Director and cinematographer).
Santiago Arau was born in Mexico City in 1980. Throughout a 15 year long career as photographer and filmmaker he has participated in individual and collective exhibitions in Casa América in Madrid, L.A. Skate Park in Los Angeles, the Museum of Modern Art in The Philippines and the Museum of Mexico City. For the past five years he has worked on documenting life in Mexico City, where he has photographed massive open air concerts, protests and marches, and impoverished areas. His aerial photographies of Mexico City have been published by international media, such as BBC, The Guardian or El País, as well as national media, such as Reforma, Aristegui Noticias and Animal Político, among many others.
