My name is André Lima Araújo and I am a Portuguese architect and comics creator. I have worked for the major comics publishers in the US and with an ever growing body of creator owned projects.
Soon after graduating with a Masters from University of Minho and briefly working as an architect for a year, I began my professional career in comics with Marvel, working on titles such as Fantastic Four, Avengers AI, Spider-Verse, Inhumans, Spidey and Black Panther, among many others.
Through the years, I have contributed illustrations to a number of additional publications (like Duncan Jones’ Madi and covers for Millarworld or Giant Generator books). In parallel, I have been creating and developing my own comic projects, having published Man Plus (Titan Comics) and Generation Gone (co-created with Ales Kot, Image Comics).
More recently, I worked at DC Comics, where I begun my partnership with Brian Michael Bendis.
My latest book is the original crime thriller A Righteous Thirst For Vengeance, co-created with Rick Remender.
When I'm not working, I like being with my family, reading history books, driving and playing videogames. I lives in Ponte de Lima, Portugal, with my wife Luísa and our three daughters, Matilde, Inês and Leonor.
