Aida Cuellar

My name is Aida. I live in a small town on the Treasure Coast of Florida. I am a retired teacher and began embroidering almost a year ago after my mother passed away. She lived with me and I cared for her for years so, with her passing, I had a lot more free time. I had never done embroidery before, but I am a creative person and love all types of crafts. I have several projects that I'm proud of, including a set of flamingos from a kit I purchased, my future daughter-in-law's corgi, and a portrait of a Viking where I cut out the facial features (nose and eyes) and replaced them with those of my son. None of these projects turned out perfect (I know where the mistakes are, LOL), but they look very good and the recipients were happy to receive them. I want to improve my pet portrait techniques, because I have several projects I want to gift to friends and relatives, some of whom have recently lost their best friend.
