Claire Shannon

I am a poet, writer and recently have started exploring visual art. I am fascinated by colour and texture and have been mainly trying layered collage and sculpture made from objet trouve. My intention is to produce an illustrated collection of my poetry,try to get that published, and also to explore collage and paint further, and sell small prints and larger canvases. I explore themes of home, homesickness (I'm Irish by birth), migration, family, urban alienation...I have taken part in several local exhibitions and had a small solo art exhibition last year.
