Catherine Pearson

Hi! My name is Catherine Pearson and I am Swiss illustrator based on the hills of Lausanne, Switzerland. With a Bachelor’s degree in Illustration in hand, my world of colorful and detailed illustrations have found their way into numerous magazines, events, product packaging and advertising campaigns. My favorite projects so far can vary from a projected video mapping animation on a 4 story building (Lausanne Lumières Festival,) a range of detailed wallpapers (Adobe Max) as well as a creative poster competition I won for Absolut Vodka Switzerland. I am also the co-founder of the local brand “The Good Apple” where I enjoy creating artworks & souvenirs inspired by Switzerland’s history, land and culture.

As the daughter of a Cook, I would describes my creative process as a cooking recipe:

“Take a fresh idea and cut it in bite-sized pieces. Carefully heat it on all sides until it turns into a crispy sketch. Turn on the graphic tablet on medium heat and add a 1/2 cup of geometric shapes. Slowly add flavor with colors by slowly pouring it into the mixture. At this point, you should notice that the illustration is beginning to take shape. Assemble the layers and sprinkle the illustration with the desired amount of textures. It is now ready to be served to the client. Bon appétit!”
