Sammy Khalid (Chigg)

Hello! My name is Sammy Khalid but I am mostly known on the internet as 'Chigg'. I am an award-winning Concept designer, illustrator, and digital artist from Dublin, Ireland. I primarily work in the entertainment industry, specifically film/TV and animation where I design characters, sets, vehicles, and props. In addition to this, I create artwork for different brands, games, publications and personal art.

I studied traditional and 3D animation at BCFE, Ireland, earning a BA in Animation from the University of Dundee. This foundational education has led to a broad 2D and 3D skillset tempered by a keen knowledge of traditional art techniques. I have been trained
in, and have proficiency in the fundamentals of design, figure drawing, colour theory, perspective, lighting, anatomy and
composition.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked on amazing projects like Black Mirror, His Dark Materials, League of Legends and Aquaman 2 with clients such as Disney, Netflix, Marvel Studios and Warner Bros. Working in design and illustration have been my life’s passion and I am thankful every day for the chance to do what I love and share my skills with the next generation.
