Chris Gambrell

I am an artist and fashion illustrator producing works based on form, colour and texture. I have worked with large European fashion houses and featured internationally in fashion magazines and wider press.

In 2020 I was chosen by illustrious fashion magazine VOGUE, to be one of seven artists picked to draw my favourite couture looks from Vogue's Runway archive pages.

I am ever-curious of what different tools can achieve and my work is an evolving exploration of what is possible through them.

My work featured as the cover image of the biography of Italian Baroque Artist Artemisia Gentileschi. Written by art critic and writer Johnathan Jones, the book accompanied the first complete retrospective of Gentileschi’s work at the National Gallery in 2019.
