Elena G. Bansh

Hi! My name is Elena Galofaro, in art Elena Bansh, and I'm a freelance illustrator and animator from Italy, based between Milan, Seoul and sometimes Tokyo (where I used to live for almost two years). I've formed myself as a 2D animator at the National Film School in Italy, where I also worked as a freelance animator for a couple of years. From 2017 to 2019 I lived in Japan, where I learnt how to speak Japanese fluently and did an internship in a Tokyo based animation studio. I went back to school in 2019 and graduated in 2021 from the Royal College of Art. Since then I've been working for international clients such as DC Comics for which I've illustrated pages of Harley Quinn, NATURE, BBC, Apple and many more.

I don’t remember exactly when I started drawing but I know for sure that I just never stopped. I was a kid that always hated doing breaks at school, because I wanted to keep sketching on my mathematics notebook. When I was a child I also thought that until an artwork was not completed the creature I was drawing wouldn’t have been able to live.

My other hobbies despite drawing are travelling, eating delicious food and cuddling my cat :)
