Emily Hankins

My name is Emily Hankins and I am a UK based artist and designer with a passion for creating unique, hand painted
wedding cakes using cocoa butter paint.

I started my hand painted wedding cake business in 2012 and am now lucky enough to be regarded as one of the
UK's leading cake painting specialists, being very recently bestowed with the Painted Cake Artist of the Year award 2022 by the Prestigeous Cake Masters Magazine.

Alongside creating bespoke wedding cakes for my lovely couples and high-profile clients, I also
enjoy teaching sought after cake painting classes nationally, internationally and online, most
recently in person at Cakeology in India and Cake International in the UK.

I have worked hard to launch my own online cocoa butter cake painting masterclasses under the brand
‘Painting with Emily’ and these, along with my own brand of products have been happily well
received.

I am delighted to be able to write regularly for Cakes and Sugarcraft Magazine alongside creating printed tutorials for Cake Masters magazine and American Cake Decorating Magazine. I am also one of the co-authors of 'Designer Cake Decorating' – an exciting, up to date anthology for cake decorating techniques.
