Jess Hannigan

I currently live in the city of Hamilton in Ontario, Canada. My work is bold, bright, and graphic. I often draw weird and silly little characters, and I love to play with a distorted drawing perspective. My work can be described as flat illustration, and I mainly create my illustrations digitally with Procreate on the iPad. A lot of the inspiration for my work comes from vintage toys, packaging and candy wrappers, and cartoons.

I have a BFA from Sheridan College's Illustration program and some of my recent clients include Green Man festival, Readers Digest, The New Yorker, and Dunham Brewery. I was awarded the 2020 Warby Parker Visionary Scholarship Award from the Society of Illustrators and the New Talent Exploration Category Award from the 2020 World Illustration Awards.
