Julian Chamorro

Born in Pasto-Colombia on a carnival day, as a kid, Julian split his time between exploring the neighborhood and the forest riding his mongoose BMX, and listening carefully, learn and repeat all sorts of funny stories about local people and traditions. Then, he moved to Cali where he learned Analog Photography and after that he goes to Bogotá, to pursue a Bachelor of Visual Arts with a Specialization in Film Studies at Javariana University. After been working in many short films playing different roles, and return to Pasto to co-directing a documentary series for a public television channel, he moved to Barcelona where he attends a Masters Degree in Film Directing at Ramon Llull University. At some point, curiosity drives him to research and to experiment with interactive films and digital storytelling. His work has spanned genres, mediums, and technologies, but most often you can find Julian working in, commercials, music videos, short films, documentary and augmented reality pieces. Overall, Julian tries to tell stories that make a difference by elevating voices that need to be heard. In his spare time, you can usually find him having a picnic, or riding a bicycle with his children and wife.
