Crafty Tuesday: Paper marbling, with Carla Qua

Carla Qua, an experimental textile designer based in Mexico City, has experience working on furniture, fashion, art direction, accessories, and interior design projects with brands such as Sandra Weil and Avocet Jewelry. In this Live, she teaches us how to create marbled paper.

Do you want to join her? You will need: 50 gr of alum, 50 gr of carrageenan or CMC (Carboxymethylcellulose), 5 pieces of uncoated white paper (82 to 105 gr), acrylic paints or an airbrush, a 40x30x5 cm tray, a sponge or spray bottle, 6L of water, 3 droppers, containers to mix the paint, wooden sticks, toothbrushes, strips of newspaper or recycled paper, and a blender.
