Egyptian goddess Bastet

Design idea for vector illustration course
I wanted to represent Bastet, the goddess of cats, the sun, of the East, of fire, of love, intoxication, music and dancing, joy, celebration, fertility, secrets, magic, and sex.
I researched some species of cats and felines found in ancient Egypt to see which ones were possible to represent in my project, such as the Egyptian Mau, Serval cat, Sand cat and Abyssinian cat.
Then I looked for some images to take cues for the colors I needed for the color palette.

I wanted to thank Owen because I feel I have learned a lot from this course, I feel I have refined my technique and the use of textures add value to the work. I aspire to become a great illustrator like you!
