Introduction
No todos los días puedes dar vida a un personaje conocido en el mundo entero como Le petit Nicolas, el icónico personaje creado por Goscinny y Sempé hace más de 60 años.
Partiendo de las ilustraciones originales, animamos escenas breves y dinámicas, con un tono ligeramente naif y con una sugerente mezcla de animación 2D para los personajes y stop motion para los elementos del fondo.
¡Hemos disfrutado tanto como Nicolas y sus amigos en este proyecto!

It's not every day that you get to bring to life a character known all over the world as Le petit Nicolas, the iconic character created by Goscinny and Sempé more than 60 years ago.
Using the original illustrations as a starting point, we animated short, dynamic scenes with a slightly naive tone and an evocative mix of 2D animation for the characters and stop motion for the background elements.
We enjoyed this project as much as Nicolas and his friends!

En estas animaciones rough vemos a todos los personajes protagonistas de esta pieza: Nicolás y sus amigos, incluso algún animal que se ha colado en el grupo.

In these rough animations we see all the main characters in this piece: Nicolás and his friends, even some animals that have slipped into the group.
Techniques de mélange
La animación 2D de los personajes convive con stop motion en algunos elementos de atrezzo, como platos, cuadernos, pegatinas o papeleras. Esa mezcla de imagen real y animación hace el conjunto más interesante.

The 2D animation of the characters coexists with stop motion in some of the props, such as plates, notebooks, stickers and bins. This mixture of real images and animation makes the whole more interesting.

Le Petit Nicolas is such a charming story that brings back so many childhood memories. It’s amazing how timeless it feels, even today. Speaking of childhood, I recently stumbled upon poki games while looking for fun ways to relax.
