THE TATAU THING

TATAU es un restaurante de Huesca (España) con una Estrella Michelin. Con alma de gastrobar, ha apostado siempre por la personalidad, sin miedo a lo transgresor.

Su nombre conecta directamente con el carisma de Tonino, Arantxa y sus tatuajes: marcas de vida que, como sus platos, cuentan una historia. El espacio (con detalles pin-up, barra vistosa y mesas altas) invita a disfrutar observando la cocina en plena acción.

Its name connects directly to the charisma of Tonino, Arantxa and their tattoos: marks of a life journey that, like his dishes, tell a story. The space, with pin-up touches, a striking bar, and high tables, invites diners to enjoy the experience while watching the kitchen in full action.

Objeto 3D: Resina

En un lugar donde nada es genérico, la clásica tarta de cumpleaños no tenía cabida. Así nace The Tatau Thing: una pieza en 3D que sustituye la tarta por un objeto con identidad propia. Inspirada en La Cosa de La Familia Addams y reinterpretada con el estilo visual del restaurante (repleto de referencias a cine fantástico de los 90, calaveras mexicanas, Legos o tablas de skate...), esta mano se convierte en el centro de un ritual festivo muy Tatau.

Para terminar la celebración, diseñamos un stationery de felicitación que prolonga la experiencia: una Polaroid del momento, la vela soplada como recuerdo y una tarjeta ilustrada con iconografía propia, todo presentado en un sobre dorado.

Un gesto inolvidable para un lugar que celebra la autenticidad en cada detalle.

In a place where nothing is generic, the classic birthday cake had no place. That’s how The Tatau Thing was born: a 3D piece that replaces the traditional cake with an object full of character. Inspired by Thing from The Addams Family and reimagined through the restaurant’s unique visual universe (packed with references to '90s fantasy films, Mexican skulls, Legos, and skateboards) this hand becomes the centerpiece of a birthday ritual that’s unmistakably Tatau.

To complete the celebration, we designed a custom stationery set that extends the experience: a Polaroid of the moment, the blown-out candle as a keepsake, and an illustrated card featuring the restaurant’s own iconography, all tucked into a golden envelope.

A memorable gesture from a place that celebrates authenticity in every detail.
