From Screen to Stitch: Translating Cinematic Patterns

This is a handmade crochet bag that translates a cinematic visual pattern into a textile medium. The piece utilizes the two-strand crochet technique (tapestry) to recreate a geometric design inspired by a wall pattern from a film.

Cotton yarn in two contrasting colors to clearly define the pattern, crochet hook, zipper, metal rings, and scissors. I used Affinity to design and create the technical pattern for the piece.

Description: This project was sparked by a captivating wall pattern I spotted in a film. To replicate the sharpness of the original design, I used Affinity to meticulously map out the technical pattern. I then translated the digital design into a textile piece using a two-strand tapestry technique.
