I am originally from Ukraine and currently live in Israel. I work in the areas of book illustration and narrative art for for magazines and brands, deeply influenced by myth and fairytales.
I am self-trained and started out professionally by writing and illustrating my own book, “The Land of Stone Flowers”. Originally published in Russia in 2015, it was nominated for the national bestseller award and later translated into ten languages.
I do hand drawn art on paper, merging a lot of mythical and traditional motifs from various cultures with contemporary ideas. My favorite medium is pen and ink.
I have worked with numerous publishing houses to create art for books, including Harper Collins, Penguin Books, Macmillan, Disney-Hyperion, Usborne and Chronicle. I made art for movies, including The True Adventures of Wolfboy, created fancy commercial art for such advertising agencies as JWT New York or D8 studio (Glasgow), and did editorial jobs for magazines like New Yorker and LA times.
