I love to draw! I teach figure drawing and perspective courses online. Sometimes I also draw storyboards for companies like Universal Studios, The BBC, and Aardman Animations.
I began drawing on March 28th 2010, after reading a book about needing to do 10,000 hours of practice to be a professional international standard at your craft. I chose drawing randomly from a list of other things that I could have ended up spending 10,000 hours in, and I have been drawing ever since! Before that, I never really drew and had no interest in it. I started because I had the drive to practice a craft. It was almost a quest in how seriously I took it! I had to get to a certain level! I realise now, there's no need to try to "get somewhere" with your drawing, and you can start enjoying it immediately, from the minute you pick up the pencil! To date, I've done more than 20,000 hours of drawing, and I'm still learning every day!
I teach a relaxed approach to drawing where the focus is on enjoying the process rather than worrying about the results. The whole point of drawing is to have fun and enjoy yourself! That's why we do it as kids. At some point, many people lose that attitude and start to take it all seriously. I hope thse you'll see that there's no need to feel pressure to make a "pretty" draw in my courseg, and that you can always approach it feeling relaxed!
