I like to define myself as an artisan rather than an artist; someone who wants to challenge himself, make new discoveries, and connect with new generations as an educational messenger.
I’m always working! I believe inspiration doesn't come from heaven, new formulas come to you when you are working.
I have been developing my techniques for 30 years, showcasing private collections in Milan and Paris. I have been teaching for 15 years around the world –in around 30 countries– using 6 languages to manage my workshops, such as Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, French, English, and Japanese.
Futuristic shapes, optical illusions and mind bending fabric transitions are my trademark. I shape my designs with traditional twodimensional pattern techniques to achieve three dimensional effects, often cut in waves, Stripes and other geometric patterns of fabric and colour. The finished garment seems a mystery, as no means of assembly are visible. Shaping seamlines such as sideseams, armholes and darts are replaced with flowing transitions.
Among my most famous designs are the Ribbon skirt, the origami dress and the accordion collar.
