João Paulo de Carvalho

I am a visual artist, painter, illustrator and teacher. I studied painting at the School of Fine Arts of Paraná (2015-2019) and at the atelier of the Alfredo Andersen Museum (2014-2018). In my production I try to understand how contemporary issues, especially about the relationship between the subject and the place, can be approached in the languages of drawing, painting and installation. I participated in the Visual Arts Development and Experimentation Project - Sesc Paço da Liberdade (2017) in the exhibition “In case of hiccups”; at the University Circuit of the Biennial of Curitiba - CUBIC 3 at Solar do Barão (2017) in the exhibition “Estado de Alerta”; “Subordinated Materiality” - Curitiba Biennial 25 years (2018), at Riviso Galeria de Arte and “Fronteiras sem Limites” at MAC-PR, Adalice Araujo room, at the 14th Curitiba Biennial.
