This is an illustration for a handbound children’s book with own rhymes. Hopefully there will be about 20 illustrations at the end.
All illustrations are linocuts and printed with CMY (cyan, magenta and yellow - blue, red and yellow). The inks I use are oilbased and glazing (not covering). The secondary colors (green, orange, violet) only arise because of the overlay of the primary colors. When all blocks are printed on top of each other a kind of brown is mixing. (According to color theory, a black should be created, but there are no 100% pure colors, so there’s only brown, but hey that’s fine.)
For all this I have to prepare the blocks like this and have to decide whichblocks are printed on top of each other. Sometimes it’s a bit confusing.

@checho_1 thank you very much! :)
Fantastic prints! How do you align them this well?!
Thank you o much @sebiche ! :)
There are a few simple but effective methods that I use for registration. In this case, I simply built an angle and placed all the blocks on the same edge. Maybe I'll make a post where I introduce different methods.
Wow the cat print is amazing
@rodrick Hahaaa, thank you that’s the one I am most unhappy with.
