Introduction
"Home, Maybe" was the drawing that allowed me to find my true style. This drawing, a large 30 x 40" piece, took a total of 6 months to complete and is still one of my favourite pieces today!

Supplies
0.03 and 0.05 Uni Fineliner
Stonehenge paper in white
The Detail
It was clear from the moment I began this drawing, that I would be dedicated quite a bit of time to it. Once I started in on the details, I couldn't stop! I wanted to place so many objects, pieces of furniture, and animals upon the page. You can see that I always finish a detail of the drawing before moving onto the next object.

Patience
I've learned that if I rush the process of drawing with fineliner pen, then mistakes will be made. And if I do make a mistake, it will need to be turned into part of the drawing.

Planning with Pencil
Once I was halfway through this piece, it became apparent I needed to sketch out a few rough lines with pencil to indicate where the larger structures, such as a roof and balcony, will be placed. After these light pencil lines were placed, I could dive back in with the fineliner pen.

And Finish!
Including so many well-loved, familiar objects, animals, and interior details is very important to my drawings. I wish for each of my works to allow the viewer to get lost in the details and to place their own memories onto the piece.
