Introduction
This little 8.5 x 8.5" drawing is packed with detail! Explore how I created this drawing over the course of a week with fineliner pen.

Supplies
0.03 and 0.05 Uni Fineliner
Stonehenge paper in White
The Beginning
This drawing began with a chair, a plant, and a rug tucked under the legs of the chair! I often tape the border of my drawing before I begin for nice, clean edges.

Oops! A Mistake
Making a mistake with fineliner pen can be a little bit tricky, because you must turn it into part of the drawing. There's no erasing fineliner pen. I had originally planned for the pot hold the monstera to be patterned, but I went far too dark with the pen right away, instead of slowly building up the shading. So I took a deep breath and turned it into a deeply shaded planter.

More and More Detail
There are so many tiny details in each of these drawings, so it's important I'm paying attention to the foreground, middle ground, and background. Once again, I can't erase, so I have to make sure I've added in all of the objects I want in a particular section of the foreground, before moving backwards to the background.

The Finish!
It's easy to tell when a drawing is finished, because I run out of white paper to shade and draw on. Once I've finished an object or piece of furniture, I typically do not go back to it again. When it's done, it's done, and I move onto the next piece of the drawing.
