Kawaii Cozy Corners

This final project features two adorable isometric kawaii room illustrations, each telling its own story through cozy decor, soft pastel palettes, and lovable characters. One room features a bunny in a lavender dreamscape, and the other houses a fluffy bear in a colorful, playful room filled with warmth and personality.

Each room captures the essence of comfort, cuteness, and character. The soft light streaming in, the little personal items, and the plush companions reflect an ideal kawaii lifestyle space.

I’ve always loved how spaces reflect emotions, personality, and comfort. I wanted to create small worlds that not only look cute but feel emotionally safe—just like a warm hug. This project gave me the chance to express those cozy feelings and bring imaginary kawaii interiors to life.

🖌️ Tools & Materials Used:

App: Procreate on iPad
Brushes: monoline brush for outlines, soft shading brush for lighting, custom texture brushes
Color Palette: Custom pastel tones created specifically for kawaii interiors
Hardware: iPad Air + Apple Pencil

1. Concept Sketching: I planned the layout of each room in an isometric grid, deciding on the character, theme, and focal point.
2. Designing Elements: I drew each object (bed, chair, rug, bookshelf, plushies) separately to keep the visual balance.
3. Adding Characters: I designed original kawaii characters—a bunny and a bear—to inhabit the rooms and make them feel alive.
4. Color Selection: I used a soothing palette of pastel blues, pinks, purples, and pops of brighter tones for balance.
5. Final Touches: I added light effects (sunlight, glow), textures, and sparkles to enhance the dreamy and warm feel of the spaces.
