Introduction
I collaborated with - Xvavi Creative - to create an illustration using the text “Be Kind” within the theme of kindness.
This was a joint advertising campaign for Palladium Boots and Smiley Fashion, for their new collection.

Supplies
Pencil
Paper
Procreate
Photoshop
Wacom Tablet
Wacom Pen
Apple Pencil
Ipad
Drafts and Research
1. Process the brief and research the brands and themes.
2. Use my pencil to do some early rough drafts.
3. Do some inspiration research to get the creative juices flowing, usually my fav artists or new ones that might fit the direction and themes.
4. Refine the draft with procreate using the apple pencil and my Ipad.
5. Collect elements of what I want to draw, as reference. This also included testing fonts for the "Be Kind" text.
6. Depending on the complexity of the design, I may need to do a final detailed draft. In this case I did. I usually do this on the iPad.

Inking
7. There's a few drawing stages before I draw the final ink, it's all done on procreate or photoshop. I often draw elements separately on different layers and then add them to the design, and draw more or tweak it them.
8. In this case I draw all the buildings first, so that it would all mesh well and look structured yet organic.
9. Then I drew all the people in separate layers and made sure they were the right sizing when layering them over the top.

Colour and finals
10. Later I drew the smiley faces on the characters, as well as all the graffiti and the extra yellow graphics to give the piece more character.
11. Here I test colours and ink the piece. This time it was a very limited colour palette, which worked well.
12. Background edits, design sizing and corrections, file prep, mainly on photoshop and illustrator.

Final Use
Example of the design being used in socials and posters.
