2044 - Nauto is an AI driven platform that has spent years investing in photogrammetry technology. The ability to create data from scanning real life objects and creating a 3D replica. The technique was used widely across the world as a way to build the world virtually. The data is then consolidated and rebuilt in a virtual reality that is shared and experienced by millions of humans. The process was used as a recreational tool at first but then became a worldwide necessity. The 'New World Program' is a last resort for people to live a quality life, while escaping the perils of climate change and war. As countries begin to close their borders and resources dwindle, Facilities built underground begin to fill with people who wish to 'retire' to the virtual space permanently and leave behind the dying world. Drone 226BWC has consolidated the last remaining data to build and complete the virtual recreation of Scotland. The last remaining pilot is tasked with retrieving the data.

The idea for the film stems from current issues like the pandemic, climate change and even the idea of metaverses. I wanted to visualise a bleak and familiar future, where instead of tackling world issues, we turned a blind eye and eventually hid away from it entirely. It was a lot of fun to put this together and really gave me an outlet to learn and try new things.
