Introduction
I created a stylized digital illustration of a tiger. My goal was to practice visual fidelity while adding my own artistic voice through clean outlines, layered detail, and thoughtful use of color. I wanted the final image to feel bold and striking, capturing the essence of the tiger while simplifying and stylizing key elements for visual impact.

Supplies
-Reference photo of a tiger
-Digital illustration software (e.g. Adobe Illustrator or similar)
-Drawing tablet
-Layers for body, stripes, and head
-Multiply layers for grass texture
-Photoshop

Building the Illustration
I started by outlining a tiger from a reference image, aiming for a faithful recreation while keeping a clean, stylized look. I broke the tiger into multiple layers: one for the body, one for the stripes, and a separate one for the head due to its complexity. This helped me manage detail and refine areas independently.
For the background, I created a grassy field using random line work to generate organic texture, then used a multiply layer to replicate and extend that texture efficiently. The result is a composition that combines structure and spontaneity, blending bold color with expressive linework.
