Mercedes Pino López

I'm a multidisciplinary artist and animator working at the intersection of motion graphics, handcrafted techniques, and visual storytelling. I holds a Fine Arts degree from the University of Málaga 2010 and completed a Master’s in Motion Graphics at Shifta by ELISAVA (Barcelona, 2025).

My practice is defined by a hybrid approach that combines digital animation, collage, stop motion, rotoscoping, textile processes, and artificial intelligence. With a strong background in artisanal craftsmanship — including luxury leather bags for Hermès, and hand weaving textile art — my work explores the dialogue between the immaterial and the physical, using materiality as a narrative tool.

As a multipotential creator, animation allows me to bring together the diverse disciplines I has developed throughout my career into a single expressive language. My author-driven projects often explore metaphysical and philosophical themes such as origin, memory, choice, and identity.
