Kim Kenney

I am a multidisciplinary artist based in New York. A surface designer, pattern illustrator, and graphic designer with a modern, minimalist style who loves a clever poke at the traditional. I work on editorial, product, and advertising projects. My studio practice brings a unique meditation on shape and color to life. This work expands into my role as a designer, creating original abstract designs based on a lifelong love of patterns, unexpected colors, and abstract shapes. In my studio, I explore natural dyes and inks on fabrics and paper, layering color, organic materials, and block printing, inviting unexpected outcomes. A natural dye artist welcoming collaborations and special projects.
