Specialization in Creative Writing and Children's Illustration

Illustrator and painter Natalia Gurovich studied graphic design in Chile before moving to Mexico to specialize in illustration. She has extensive experience illustrating books for children and young adults and her pieces are a showcase of her different origins and influences, where composition and color are the main pillars. She bases her work on the search for creative freedom, the aesthetic value of plastic arts, and the playfulness of the process.

She has released more than 25 books for children with both Mexican and international publishing houses including Grupo SM, Planeta, Pearson, Castillo, Porrúa, and Panamericana, to name just a few. She has also been recognized in a variety of competitions like the Catálogo Iberoamericano and the Rassegna Internazionale I colori del Sacro in Italy.

Children's author Ana María Pavez has a diverse résumé. She studied Economics at the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile and went on to receive a master's in archeology from Yale University. This wide range of interests is what gives her work its unique perspective. For Ana, telling stories to children through books and other media is what has driven her throughout the past twenty years.

She is cofounder and current general editor of the Amanuta publishing house, and coauthor of various books including Sabores de América (2009) and 1, 2, 3, ¿cuántos ves? (2009).

Jimena S. Sarquiz is a freelance illustrator specializing in the illustration of books for children and young people. During her career, she has had the opportunity to illustrate books for different publishers in Mexico, the United States, and Europe, as well as different magazines from Editorial Televisa (Mexico). In 2010, she illustrated her first children's book. Since then, she has illustrated ten more, mostly for publishers in Mexico.

Jimena is an active participant in comic events and design fairs, where she sells her illustrations. Her work can be found on social media under the name Monitos Bonitos.

Natalia Colombo is an illustrator and a graphic designer with a degree from the University of Buenos Aires. She's worked in advertising agencies and her own graphic design studio. After gaining experience illustrating textbooks, she published her first picturebook. She now has more than 60 books published, and with each new book, a new challenge.

Throughout her career, she's had the opportunity to collaborate with publishers in France, China, Italy, Spain, the United States, Canada, Brazil, Chile, Uruguay, Mexico, Argentina, and more. She has also received multiple awards for her work, including the International Compostela Prize for Picture Books and the Iberoamérica Ilustra award. In addition to illustrating books, she's collaborated on animation projects for two Argentine TV channels: Encuentro and Pakapaka.

José Urriola is a renowned writer and social communicator specialized in audiovisual arts. His passion for literature and cinema has led him to explore various artistic expressions in his creative writing. For several years, he worked as a screenwriter, producer and director for HBO Latin America, covering film festivals and creating programs related to the seventh art. However, his encounter with the universe of children's books was transformative.

She collaborated with the Book Bank, researching and promoting children's literature, which sparked her need to create her own stories. He has published children's books such as "Chupetes de Luna" and "Cuentos a kickas", receiving recognition and awards for his outstanding work in the literary field. José Urriola is a passionate writer who fuses the literary with the visual, the cinematic and the musical, captivating readers of all ages with his unique narrative adventures.
