Julia Trickey

I am an experienced botanical artist and tutor of over 20 years. I paint realistic plant portraits in watercolour and particularly enjoy painting fading flowers, autumnal leaves and seed heads, often painting them larger than life.

I have been awarded four Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) Gold medals for collections of paintings on a botanical theme, amongst many other awards. I have exhibited and taught worldwide and have work in the Shirley Sherwood Collection, the RHS Linley Library and Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation as well as private collections. My botanical illustrations have appeared on Royal Mail stamps depicting British Flora.
