Simply, Katy

Hi! My name is Katy and I am an artist and small business owner based in a small town in the UK.
When I was younger I would always dream of being creative in some shape or form. Whenever I had a chance I would always be colouring in or drawing in my sketchbook. I would always be asking my family members to rate my colouring inn pages out of 10! And let me tell you they would be very harsh! I had the amazing opportunity to go to University and graduate with a 1st class honours in Surface Pattern Design I was so happy. After getting my degree I quickly decided to get a job as an in house designer in Sheffield, where I spent nearly two years designing for Primark, Asda and Matalan. I then decided to move on to work for Ling Design which is a card company based in the UK. I learnt so much from both of these jobs, but the biggest learning curve I learnt was that working for someone else wasn't for me. So that's when Simply, Katy was born, and now I have built up my business to be my full time job. You will find me working from my home studio, drinking lot's of coffee, illustrating on procreate and singing along to lots of 80s playlists!
