Larisa Criado

Larisa Criado is a Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) alumni with a major in Jewelry Design and and a minor in Business and Entrepreneurship. She was born in Madrid. She now lives in Lima, Peru where she enjoys Peruvian food and Art Deco Architecture. She gets most of her inspiration from Art Deco Architecture and Motifs for her designs. Because of her inspiration, she enjoys the perfection in geometric shapes and therefore utilizes them in most of her designs. She takes up the challenge to incorporate mechanisms to simple design options to make them more interesting and wearable pieces such as reversible and interchangeable mechanisms. She was first introduced to fashion and custom jewelry in one of her Adornment classes where she learned about Miriam Haskell and Schiaparelli. Since then she has been captivated by this specific category of jewelry. Today she uses all this to create unique and compelling pieces of jewelry.
