Mijal Zagier

My name is Mijal and I'm a graphic designer specialized in branding and packaging.
I have been in the field for over 15 years. My profession led me to live in Argentina, USA, India and Israel.

I always liked the arts and all my hobbies somehow ended up being in the creative field. I was also born into a family with similar interests or professions, so for me, graphic design was a natural fit. As I went to school for design, I realized that the structure of classes and schedules and exams wasn't exactly for me, so I dropped out and decided to learn on my own. Looking back, this was, for me, a stepping stone to what would be my preferred method of learning and working.

As I started working as an In-house graphic designer it allowed me to continue learning on my free time and acquiring some free-lance clients. Fast forward a few years and I became a Creative Director for a marketing agency, later the owner of my own studio Bold Design.

While I was working for others, in an office setting, I found that this was not HOW I wanted to work. I loved the field, but not working as an employee. This realization made me re-think my career and what was important for me: Creativity and Freedom. By then, I had a new goal: take all I learned in my past experiences and become my own studio. And it worked. Once I established myself as a freelancer I joined forces with other creatives (copy writers, animators, web designer). This was the beginning of creating my studio.

Today I love being an identity and packaging designer, and I love working in a freelance setting. I can't ask for more.

I have learned a few tricks along these years (sometimes the hard way), and I can't wait to share them with the world!
