Bizarre Circus para Manolo Bakes

Manolo Bakes me hizo el encargo de realizar unas ilustraciones para decorar las cajas y vasos que se entregarían a los clientes durante la campaña de Halloween.

La propuesta se inspira en el lado siniestro del circo para diseñar el nuevo packaging, El Bizarre Circus. ‘Lo que quería expresar con estos personajes es esa dualidad entre lo festivo y lo oscuro, algo que está muy presente en mi trabajo actual. La maestra de ceremonias tiene una mirada penetrante, la trapecista es elegante y etérea, y el malabarista tiene un aire juguetón pero perturbador.

Esta creativa colaboración lleva así el terror del circo a la marca nacional con un elenco de personajes tétricos pintados al óleo, posteriormente digitalizados, que reflejan la identidad artística de Manolo Bakes.

Manolo Bakes commissioned me to create illustrations for decorating the boxes and cups given to customers during the Halloween campaign.

The design is inspired by the darker side of the circus to create a new packaging theme, The Bizarre Circus. “What I wanted to express with these characters is that duality between festivity and darkness, something that’s very present in my current work. The ringmaster has a piercing gaze, the trapeze artist is elegant and ethereal, and the juggler has a playful yet disturbing air."

This creative collaboration brings the horror of the circus to the national brand with a cast of eerie, oil-painted characters that were later digitized, reflecting Manolo Bakes’ artistic identity.
