Very good work! Beautiful project!
I really like the three compositions, they are very interesting and I want to look at them for a long time to see all the details.
The first illustration is very cute, and I love the cat characters.
The development of the sequence is also very good, you have a story, you could continue it and make a book.
I leave you some suggestions in case you want to take one more turn:
* The first illustration is very very beautiful and the composition in very good with that sea full of marine animals, but there is very little contrast (blue on blue) and the figure is lost on the background. It would be great if they are more visible and can show off more. You need more contrast there and your illustration will win much more.
* In the second illustration it would be nice if there are some other characters,
and the little cat that looks out is better seen, it will give more life and more connection to your sequence.
Thank you very much for sharing this time with me in the course!
and thank you very much for your active participation, it is a pleasure for me that you are part of the course :)
@estrellita_caracol
Estrellita, thank you very much for your helpful comments and advice. It's so good to get feedback :)
In the first illustration the idea was to have the sea and sky all one colour, but with different shapes and textures, so it would look dreamy, like an island lost in space and time, with all the focus on the island. However, the truth is that I should have tested with contrasting colours first. I will experiment with other colours and see.
I will definitely add some characters in the second picture. Maybe open some other doors and windows, too. I'm happy that you recognised the little cat looking out the door!
This course has been so interesting and so much fun. I enjoyed all your videos and the exercises and I have recommended the course to many of my friends, for them and their children. I hope you can present another course in the future.
By the way, your English is perfect (English is my first language). I'm sorry I don't speak Spanish.
Muchas gracias por todo!
I think it is a good decision that the focus is on the island and that it is the only yellow.
I'm not saying you have to use more colors, but more blue values. contrast between blue values
@estrellita_caracol Now I understand! Yes, I'm sure that will be an improvement - thank you again for taking the time to provide feedback, I really appreciate it :)
I´m so touched by your work. I don´t know, if I can say in English what I want to say. But I try. At the first look on your work with the houses I thought, that it was done very well. It looks very professional, and I like it very much, although it gives me a feeling as if your Greek Island is making you weary So it does to me. When I look at it I feel: this is a sad place. I don´t know, if that is also your feeling. It´s not only the colors,it´s also the way the houses seem to fall an tumble. But a picture can show all this.
I also love your fable of Chicken Licken. It´s so nice.
Go on with that
Hanni
@hanni_serway Thank you for your comment - it's very interesting. I have been thinking about it. The sadness is not intentional, although my personal feelings probably influenced my choices of colour and style. After I had finished this project I thought it looked too dark, but I hoped the last picture with the cats would add a little romance. Anyway, thank you for the taking the time to connect.
Wooooow! this is amazing. the whole story is really nice and coherent. But I'm specially touched bythe second picture with the landscape. I love the rythm of it! Yellow light from the door. And the architecture! Congratulations!
I love your project! The movement in the first picture, the dispersed houses, creating a slightly anxious atmosphere in the second and the contrasting taverna, bringing warmth in the third one!
@rossimd Thank you for the comment! I really think I should have used a more calming background in the second picture. It's not supposed to be quite so disturbing.
