I have been drawing since I was a child. At school I would draw in my text books or copybook instead of paying attention. Sometimes I would draw something not so pretty (to me) and then try fixing it. It was like a game a really fun game. I was most of the times studying last minute for every test. On the other hand the teacher from art class never believed I was the one doing my homework, I guess they were good then ... I have no formal training other than some drawing lessons and later on I went for a couple of years to The Art Students League for Life Drawing (with Robert Cenedella) I miss being around artists and doing some as well. During the pandemic I figured I go back to TASL cause I was working from home, but they were doing online classes... This is how I found this site.
I am new to Illustration and I having such a great time! I feel like a kid again just drawing for fun. No more white canvas or fear of doing something ugly. The important thing is that I am doing something. If I don't like it which is often I just try to fix it or try again just like when I was a child.
I have been interested in Children Illustration ever since I saw by chance Cecila Varela's work in the net last year. I made a couple of them actually, and I found myself a new love. I am/was so excited to find her here!
I am very happy to be part of this community
