Ciao, I'm Violetta! It's a pleasure to meet you. :)
My name holds the essence of a wildflower, a dramatic opera heroine—La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi, the legendary composer from my hometown region—and a color I absolutely love: violet. This hue is created by blending two distinct nuances that cohabit within me: the calm depth of the blue sea and the romantic warmth of a red fire. All of these characteristics perfectly reflect my creative spirit and soul: deeply connected to nature, in love with the arts, and romantically drawn to conserving and restoring the beauty of the past.
Art, words, and textile crafts have always been the quiet companions of my life. After graduating in Art History and Performing Arts, my journey took me into marketing and communication—moving from theater projects to living in London, and eventually spending several years in the corporate sector.
Recently, I decided to leave the corporate world behind to clear space for a much-needed creative reset. This choice allowed me to pick up the needle, thread, and my textile archive once again. I began by completing a suspended 2020 embroidery project, which opened the door to visible mending, Sashiko, and textile dyeing, forcing me to finally bring my sewing machine back into the light.
Today, I am dedicated to learning, experimenting, and making. I believe that giving a second life to existing textiles is the ultimate form of creation—a process of transformation that mirrors exactly how I am rewriting my own story.
