Hi, i'm Yuktha. I'm an art student studying fine arts at karnataka chitrakala parishad, Banglore, India.
Since my childhood i have always liked drawing and started liking it even more during my high school, because i very well knew i was good
at it and my teachers and friends recognised my talent and appreciated a lot. This motivated me to draw more and more and take part in art inter school competitions.
Art was nothing more than a hobby for me back then. Also i had such limited knowledge about art schools and the courses provided. After researching a lot, i had gathered enough information about the art field and could not wait to join an art school and start my journey as an art student.
When i joined an art school, i knew nothing about any of the subjects. Whereas most of my batch mates had basic knowledge and skills and had their own personal preferences.
I was just so fascinated with every single subject. I got nearly enough time to experiment with all the subjects and
to figure out which one i liked the most and i found myself enjoying print making comparatively more than the other subjects. Hence i decided to specialise in it.I was very glad with this decison. Thanks to my teachers. My department has some of the best faculty members. Being surrounded by such amazing teachers and artist friends was such a wonderful experience. I inevitably compare myself with my artist friends and i feel art doesn't come very naturally to me. I find myself putting in two, three times more efforts than my friends. But i love the fact that this doesn't matter and we all make sure we create what we love and keep supporting and encouraging each other to grow better as an artist everyday.
Coming to the subjects matter that fascinates me the most!
They are flora and fauna.
I have a new found love for sketching human, plant and animal anatomy and fussing it to create something unusual and unique. I have always loved art works which depicts creatures and plants, especially when the skeletal structures are included. I also love works which are based on the concept of life cycle and hunting, though i haven't yet made any work based the this concept. I have certain ideas in my mind and I feel it's all jumbled and I don't know where to start. This is one of the main reason I decided to buy courses on this platform. They are all amazing and I feel it's going to help me immensely to improve my skills and have a clear picture of my ideas and concepts that I want to express through my art works.
