Coney island, New York

When I arrive on a new place to make a series of photos, I look where the sun is because I don't want to have overexposed photos. Then I start to walk around to soak up the place, if a scene or a building catches my eye I stop and I take the time to study how the light is reflected and what is the most interesting angle that will highlight the architecture of the building At Coney Island I wanted to highlight all these stands with in the foreground the people who were going to the amusement park on this Sunday in June.

Coney Island is 1 hour from New York City by Metro and sees its population doubled on weekends in the summer, people come to spend time with their families at the beach or in the amusement parks that are on the boardwalk, I wanted to make this series because the colors of the attractions and stands contrast with the brick color of the buildings in the background.
