Letter B Project

I get inspired by Dieter Rams designs and from there I picked some images to make a moodboard and choose a color palette. I was searching for a classic, retro and vintage look. Inspired a little on the 70's Vynil era.

From there, I didn't start with a particular concept for a letter.
I just choosed the letter B cause I thought the cicular shapes could be easily adaptated to the elements on the moodboard.
I started with a geometric shape to distribute space evenly.
I just made a rough sketch from the front view to get an idea on what elements to model

I started to work on the model using several techniques viewed on the course.
For the lighting setup, I used a different approach using a Key, Fill and Rim light with Area lights. For the Background I just used a point light.

Finnaly, for the textures I used wood texture and noise textures generated from blender to add subtle bump effects. I used Cycles engine, Filmic look and high contrast feature.
I did a final Color Correction under photoshop.
