Carnet de gratitude : March 2025 sketchbook

Everyday, I draw a page in my Carnet de gratitude sketchbook and it sums up the moments that I noticed and feel like sharing with others, and with my future self.

Keeping a daily practice with a Gratitude sketchbook has many values for meditation and mindfulness... I talk about this in the interview I answered for Domestika's blog at the end of 2024.

A very sad day when one of our little green frogs died after a terrible disease. We made a beautiful ceremony and buried her in our garden.

Listening to a scientific podcast about neutrinos. Hinata being all soft and cuddly despite her dark temper. Best of all : I begin an email conversation with my grand-daughter, to get to know her better <3

Beloved little Kurumi wakes up and look at me <3 Listening to a cover of Joe Jackson's "Fools in Love". Singing "L'envol" with Zaho de Sagazan <3 Remembering a special place I visited as a child : The Radome, a space station amid the Breton moors...

Scrumptious breakfast - Cuddles on the bed with the Potichats Hinata and Tanuki - and Corean homemade dinner with Gochujang sauce.

Kurumi watches me from the top of the cat tree - I manage to roll around on the floor for Happy Yoga - Watching twice the amazing episode 7 of Severance season 2.

Watching an interesting online medical talk about Obesity, then turn on the TV and see this South Park promo hehehe ! Beautiful Potichat Miruku <3 and for dessert making a Pavlova with whipped cream and lots of fruits !

Sharing shrimps with the Potichats <3 Then chancing upon a post by friend and author Jeanne A. Debats about Zemblanity "the inexorability of unfortunate discoveries" and the fact that this concept based on the island of New Zemble.

The importance of an International Women's Rights Day <3 and discovering Sauter & Cie, a company that creates wonderful globes.

Starting over with novel Wild Spaces when I power my Kindle - Lovely brunch with fried eggs and raw veggies - Amazing walk by fashin innovators ANREALAGE - working on hair mats with Yuzu and efficient tools.

New musician and singer Lubiana, with the sound of her Kora - Getting a new comb for the Potichats that works magic - Playing with them in the catio - the movie Flow is available in streaming format.

Trying to find out what is the tree next door, with its tiny new pink flowers - Falling in love with the etchings and illustrations of Kasamatsu Shiro - Trying new recipes in the Airfryer : french toast sticks - New Snag Tights in the mail !

Tunde Adebimpe, singer of TV On The Radio, has a solo project so I discover his new songs "Magnetic" <3 I roast apples in the Airfryer - I try my new Snag panties that are really beautiful.

Happy Stretching helps my body and breathing - Listening to an old song by Bloc Party " Banquet" - Wow, these little glass birds by Shane Fero are so beautiful...

Receiving a magazine about Urban Sketching with lapin's drawings of Osaka <3 Getting a great Sci-Fi book with nostalgia - I love Mohini Dey on Electric Bass but she is also a wonderful singer - Next door, at the sushi and poke place, they make Takoyakis !

Last pages of a book I loved "Les Mains Vides" by Elio Possoz - Kurumi being a sweet Potichat - Peeling a blood orange like a flower - Roasting Marshmallows - Singing with Asaf Avidan.

Good new music : Aurora and Tanya Tagaq <3 - Going to the plant shop to get black currant bushes and in the evening watching the movie FLOW <3

Nagisa, half-brother of the Potichats, comes visit them around the catio - I get enough energy for vacuuming - New characters by The Strangest Flea Market.

Going out of the house for medical check-up and after a long wait, meeting a nurse with the same problem finger that has troubled me for ages - Turning the corner in a corridor and ending up in a strange liminal space.

Bread looks like... a Potichat ! My friend and artist Monsterlune creates a new collection called Foufoune Pockets ! I try to roast chick peas in the Airfryer, it is GREAT !

Audible becomes available on Amazon Music so I begin a Stephen King collection ! Earphones all day... Tanuki, my sweet Potichat on her bed - Watching series Krank Berlin - Back in time with Sonicus Hedgehogus with thom I used to work - At night, in our garden, we watch a large rat !

Mind blown again by Petr Valek ! In a parallel universe all day with audio book in my earphones - Miruku sits in front of the TV when the quiz is about cats ;-)

Suddenly, we heard loud banging and clamoring in front of our house... It was the Carnivale ! A batucada drummed and marched by, I got sprinkled with confetti - The Potichats were dismayed and they all hid in corners for hours.

New songs by Matt Berninger from The National <3 Wearing my artist brooch on my favorite Zuri dress - It's magnolia flowers season - I have already finished the Stephen King audio book collection...

Listening to Cesaria Evora <3 Husband brings back a large and beautiful daffodil ! My toe nails are perfect after podiatrist - I love Leo Forrest's cats but now I discover his other animals like this little bird <3

Making deviled eggs on mixed salad for brunch - Tanuki lets me brush her and cut out some hair mats - Lovely fish singer by The Strangest Flea Market.

Listening to albums by Benjamin Clementine - Watering the young black currants bushes - Kurumi's lovely eyes - Wow, I have only seen them in pictures but I would love a Sakura ice-cream !

Going to the art supplies shop and getting 10 new Fresh Mint sketchbooks for my Carnet de gratitude project <3
Also, getting new brush pens in lovely colours and some strange new tools like the ThaMographe.

Asaf Avidan's voice from his Acoustic album fills the bathroom with raw emotion - Miruku sleeps peacefully on Tanuki's bed - Wearing linen clothes that I love - Cooking a nice brunch.

A new hibiscus blooming yellow on Gwendolyn's lanai <3 Nice food for brunch and dinner - Brushing Tanuki and little by little getting her rid of the hair mats.

A terrible story : Chris Arsenault and more than 150 cats from Happy Cat Sanctuary die in a fire that burns the place to the ground - My heart is broken. Volonteers veterinarians and rescue teams arrive and search for the surviving cats. You can make a donation to help if you feel like it.
