Achieve impossible shots using a drone as your new audiovisual tool

New technologies are changing the way of telling stories and, thanks to them, you can go further and with a greater degree of depth. This is the case of the director of photography and documentaries Yeray Perdomo, who thanks to drones has been able to approach remote tribes, jungles, volcanoes and more, even filming with drones in more than 50 countries.

Yeray, in his first course Filming for beginners , teaches you the basic techniques to get the most out of your recordings. In this it will teach you how to film audiovisual pieces with a drone. You will learn more about drones, the types there are, the possibilities they offer, and the legal framework in Spain to find out how and where to fly them.

What's included in this course?

You will meet Yeray, he will tell you about his experience as director of photography and documentaries, and about his drone operating company. It will also show you its main influences.

You will start with a more theoretical part: looking at what a drone is, what types there are, its parts and proper maintenance; also safety aspects and risks of the use of these and you will delve into the legal framework in Spain. Also, you will review the inclement weather on your drone.

You will go to the practical part configuring the drone and the camera, analyzing the spatial composition, evaluating the risks and preparing the flight outdoors. Then, you will see the different planes that you can use and special techniques such as hyperlapses or slow motion .

Next, you will go to the flight of your drone indoors doing the same process as outdoors, configuring camera and drone, devising the spatial composition and preparing the flight. You will be introduced to retrozoom and impossible planes inside.

After filming is complete, you will move on to organizing and editing the footage in DaVinci Resolve. Yeray will give you the keys to touch up the color in your recordings and will teach you the different export modes depending on where you want to publish it.

You will be able to apply all the knowledge to your final project: a videoreel that reflects your talent.
