The materials you'll need for this course include white printer paper (20 sheets), an A4 or A5 sketchbook (ideally 120 GSM or higher), a large drawing pad (A3 or tabloid, ideally 120 GSM or higher), different black ink pens (e.g., Uni-Ball, Sign Pen, Kuretake, Tombow), a graphite pencil and an eraser, scissors, a glue stick, and a computer or iPad for digitalizing your illustrations.

Catalina Bustos Mendoza, better known on social media as Catalina Bu, is a Chilean illustrator who is passionate about drawing and uses simple strokes to express big ideas and tell complex stories. She currently works as an illustrator for numerous publishers, brands and companies.

She has written four books (Diario de un Solo 1 and 2, Libro Libre and En Blanco) and co-authored another three (Gatos Gordos, Solo Necesito un perro and Un espacio vacío); her books have been translated to French and Portuguese. Her work also has been featured in individual and collective exhibits in Santiago de Chile, Madrid, Mexico City, Shanghai, New York and Bologna.
