Master the expressiveness, details, and layout of watercolor painting to produce stunning illustrations

The illustrator and teacher Carlos Rodríguez Casado is an expert in the watercolor technique. He works the organic textures with mastery, playing with the different effects that watercolor offers: from more worn textures that he applies in his cartoons to realistic details created through the superposition of layers for his innumerable portraits for publishing and press.

This is his third course at Domestika and perhaps his most personal one, as it shows the techniques he has developed in his career as an illustrator, based on his own observation of watercolor and how pigment and water interact on paper. He will show you how to apply the techniques in both dry and wet formats so that you’re able to illustrate a still from your favorite movie.

In his first course, Watercolor Portrait Sketchbook, Carlos introduces you to drawing and watercolor techniques to create spontaneous portraits anywhere; in his second, more advanced course, he shows you the keys and techniques to create a Caricature in Watercolor.
