Who is this online course for?
To anyone interested in textile design. If you already have experience with pattern design, you will learn the tricks for adapting them to your own silk screen.
Requirements and materials
Basic screen printing knowledge is recommended to take the course.
As for the materials, you will need drawing paper, cardboard, scissors, black markers, A3 acetate paper, a pencil, tape, transparent tape, a ruler, and a stapler or glue.
For the screen printing, you can contact a supplier to deliver the screen ready for printing or prepare yours with the following materials: a 40 cm x 50 cm screen printing mesh and frame, a 30-35 cm squeegee, screen printing lacquer (2 colors), and scoop coater.
If you want to digitally edit your patterns, you will need a computer with Adobe Illustrator, a graphics tablet, and access to a scanner and printer.
