With a communications degree and a master's in screenwriting, Gonzalo Ladines discovered that his passion for screenwriting lays in comedy. He has written and directed multi-award-winning shorts and his co-founded web series Los Cinéfilos has accumulated over 16 million views.

In 2015, he wrote and directed his debut comedy feature, Como en el Cine (Just Like in the Movies), which went on to win the Audience Award at the NewFilmmakers LA Film Festival, sponsored by the Hollywood Academy. He also co-wrote Viejos Amigos (Old Friends) and Papá Youtuber, the first Peruvian film sold for international remakes. As well as a director and screenwriter, Gonzalo is an advertising director, teacher, script adviser, and playwright.
